On Monday, the AARP submitted a comprehensive comment letter responding to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Request for Information about “fees that are not subject to competitive processes that ensure fair pricing,” or “Junk fees.” Among the areas that AARP asked the Bureau to examine are overdraft or “Non Sufficient Fund” fees, account maintenance fees, account inactivity fees, credit card late fees, and much more.
