Bonnie Johnston

Senior Policy Counsel

Bonnie Johnston serves as a Senior Policy Counsel on the LXR Group team, helping the team support LXR Group’s clients and partners using her skill and expertise in advocacy and policy development. Bonnie brings nearly a decade of experience in legislative and regulatory policy. 

Bonnie has experience and proven success working at the state and federal level to develop and advance public policies that improve investor and consumer protection. She has specialized in issues related to transportation, financial services, and environmental policy. 

Beginning her career as a law clerk at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), before moving to the policy and advocacy field, Bonnie knows the ins and outs of the federal regulatory process.  Prior to joining LXR Group, Bonnie helped spearhead legislative policy outreach to several key Congressional committees and offices regarding a variety of issues impacting consumers. As such, she has considerable experience directly engaging and lobbying members of Congress and their staff.

Bonnie holds a B.A. in International Relations and Global Business from the University of Southern California, and a J.D. from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law. While at law school Bonnie specialized in international business law and policy, earning an International Business Certificate from the University of the Pacific, along with her J.D.
